Today we finally got to open the heart! We wanted to save the heart labels for last though so we identified the surrounding arteries that were needed first. The subclavian arteries were very difficult to identify because there were a lot of arteries in the shoulders and it wasn't as close to the heart as I was expecting. Once we got to the heart though, I knew exactly what I was doing! I found it very cool to see the chordae tendinae in the heart because without them, we wouldn't be able to properly pump blood. I enjoyed this cat day.
