Vocabulary

  • Origin- the point of muscle attachment that doesn’t move when contracted

  • Insertion- the point of muscle attachment that moves when contracted

  • Belly-part of body that contains structure between chest and pelvis

  • Aponeurosis- used to attach muscle to muscle or muscle to bone

  • Fascia- covers or binds together body sections

  • Extensors- a muscle that extends a body part

  • Flexors- a muscle that flexes a body part

  • Adductors- muscle that moves body part towards middle of body

  • Abductors- muscle that moves body part away from the middle of bod
