Cat Day 5-2

After our impeccable ability from our last dissection we only had a little less than half of the cat left to open up. Audrey had already cut her side, so all I had to do was finish up my side. Once that was done we had to begin identifying the giant blob of organs in the cat. It honestly wasn't as hard as I thought it'd be. Partly because Audrey's drawing looked almost exactly like how the inside of our cat looked, which was nice. Overall it was pretty cool unraveling the entire intestinal tract and also seeing where all of the organs attached. What wasn't as good was seeing the poop still in the cat. Ours wasn't like everyone elses. It was green and still wet and disgusting! I've watched someone get the head of their femur sawed off and I've seen the inside of someone's brain be poked around in and I was completely fine. But as soon as I see some nasty looking cat poop I start freaking out. I'm sure I'd have the same reaction with any type of feces, but that dones't really make me feel much better. In total today was a really good, besides the green cat poop.
