Cat Day 1

After the first time seeing our cats, there was a sense of both sadness and excitement. I cannot fathom what I will learn from this experience and I am grateful because I realize that many other people do not get this opportunity but it feels wrong to be excited. I was not as uncomfortable handling our cat for the first time as I thought I might be but I don't know if that will change when we start skinning. I am also glad that I was not bothered by the smell, as some people in the class seemed to be. It was surprisingly hard to name her. Kylar and I struggled just a little but settled on a seemingly perfect name for her color: Princess Buttercup.
